We operate an appointment system – one patient per appointment. Please call to book or use our online system via the link at the top of this page.

Telephone Advice

If you wish to speak to a doctor or nurse the receptionist will advise you. It is essential that you tell the receptionist briefly about your problem and your telephone number.

Home visits should be requested before 10:30am. The doctor will assess the urgency of the visit and you may be given advice on the telephone

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.

If you are unable to attend any your appointment with either the GP or Practice Nurse would you please let us know so that we can offer the appointment to somebody else?   

We are sure that you will appreciate that demand for an appointment is very often extremely heavy.  To assist with this demand we need to make sure that all booked appointments are used in order to see the maximum number of patients possible.

Please help us to provide you and other patients with a suitable level of service by letting us know as soon as possible when you cannot attend.

You can also complete our appointment cancellation notification request form. This can only be used if your appointment has been arranged for more than 24 hours in advance (excluding weekends and public holidays). You can also text to cancel your appointment.

• If you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
• If you need an interpreter
• If you have any other access or communication needs

We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about your appointments.

To have this service you will need to register by completing a consent form.
